Lisa's Leaving Party

After 7 years managing Marston Green Parish Hall, it's time to say goodbye. Over the years I like to think I have helped to transform the parish hall from a run-down building that didn't have very many classes or events for families, to an up-to-date venue that is a pleasure to hire, enjoyed by all ages and all walks of life. It's become the beating heart of the community and despite it being an absolute uphill struggle at times, it's been a lot of fun!

From the days I started fundraising on my own to eventually ending up with a team, there have been families that have supported our events through all of that time. There have been hirers who have welcomed me and who I love dearly. Friends who have helped when we have tried to do things to raise money for the hall, and generally just people who have been a big part of my journey as Hall Manager.

There have been tens of thousands of pounds raised, changes that benefit the wider community, jobs that have been created, events that encourage families to go out and have fun. I hope you will all join me on Friday 25th March at 7pm as I say goodbye. There will be music and dancing, the bar will be open and you can order or bring in food if you wish. We just need you to grab a free ticket so we can keep an eye on the numbers.

Children are of course welcome!
